What the law says:
> All UK workers are entitles to 5.6 weeks paid holiday per year including all 8 bank holidays.I.e. 5 X 5.6 = 28 days, or for part time 2 X 5.6 = 11.2 days
> This is governed by the working time directive which states that an adult worker can work up to 48 hours per week
> A contract of employment is not a legal entitlement, however if there is no contract a written statement of employment particulars must be given including details of ; pay; working hours; and holiday entitlement
