When we meet a person we will make an instant judgement about them based on a range of factors, this will influence the extent we like that person. With further interactions, our feelings about that person can be influenced over time.
It is the same with a brand. With careful planning and the right strategies, a business should control how their target market feels about a given brand and continue to influence the target markets feelings over time.

Brand identity focuses on the following six elements that form the basis of a consumers feelings about a given brand:
