> Make justified decisions using both qualitative and quantitative data, including its selection, interpretation, analysis and evaluation and the application of appropriate quantitative skills.

Information
Extended response questions which are marked using a level of response mark scheme are included in all externally assessed components. The assessment materials for this qualification provide learners with the opportunity to demonstrate their ability to construct and develop a sustained and coherent line of reasoning and marks for extended responses are integrated into the marking criteria.

There is no 'correct' way to answer an exam paper or answer 9 mark questions... however... here are a few tips that may help:

> Read the instructions on the front cover
> Only answer in the boxes
> Answer all multi-choice and sort answer questions (i.e. any that do not require you to read a case study first)
> If you get stuck on a question, skip it (you can come back to it later)
> Consider the key words in the question and what they are asking you to do
> Plan all long mark answers (i.e. any that require you to use the case study)
> If you have time at the end, review all answers (adding detail if possible) and take a stab at any you skipped earlier
